Green Kerala Express - the unique social reality show in Indian Television aims to find the best panchayath in the green land of Kerala. Under the initiative of the Ministry of Local Self Government and Suchitwa Mission, the show is realised by Centre for Development of Imaging Technology (C-DIT) and will be telecast by Kerala wing of Doordarshan Kendra. This interactive show focuses on the achievements of the local self-governments and urban local bodies in the State. Green Kerala Express will be unique in the focus on the collective effort of the people in harnessing the talents of the community at the grass root level. It gives the opportunity to all 999 Grama Panchayaths, 57 Municipalities and 5 corporations to map their resources and also to visualize their success stories which can be emulated by other panchayaths.
